Nabil Lahham is an indirect tax expert who helps organizations reduce tax exposure, enhance compliance, and recover money they did not know they were owed. With more than 15 years of combined experience across major financial institutions, global advisory firms, and high-growth organizations, he specializes in identifying sales tax exposures, recovering overpayments, and guiding clients through complex regulatory environments.

Nabil currently serves as Director General at The Dominion Audit, where he leads the firm’s indirect tax practice. His work includes managing federal and provincial sales tax audits, advising on M&A tax implications, publishing research on excise taxation, and building relationships with regulatory bodies. He has also developed innovative VBA-enabled tax compliance tools that streamline return filings and enhance accuracy for clients.

Previously, Nabil held progressive roles at Ryan Tax, TD Bank, The Home Depot, The Lebanese International University, and Clariant, where he was known for delivering measurable results. He has recovered millions in tax money in Canada and has earned numerous performance awards throughout his professional career. He has been consistently recognized for excellence in client service, technical accuracy, and process improvement.

Nabil is proficient in ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, TaxPrep, and MS Dynamics, and has extensive experience advising on SLFI rules, the SAM formula, ETA compliance, and key sales tax elections.

Trilingual in English, Arabic, and French Nabil is known for his analytical approach, strong communication skills, and ability to operate effectively in fast-paced environments. 

Beyond his professional work, he is a 2nd-degree black belt in Shotokan Karate and actively volunteers in tax clinics, contributing his expertise to support communities and individuals in need.
